Growing up, alternative singer-songwriter tmdistant found his voice singing lead in a prestigious Church choir. The 21 year-old Essex, UK-based artist had always dreamt of being an artist, he spent years working on his craft before making his debut in 2021.
In the early stages of his music career he combined multiple genres such as indie, pop and alternative with elements of hyperpop, electronic, cloud rap and rock that garnered praise from outlets and tastemakers like AFROPUNK, Wonderland, EARMILK, DMY, DNü, and more. He has also gained editorial support on the following Spotify editorial playlists Our Generation, New Music Friday UK, The Other List, Fresh Finds, Fresh Finds: Pop, tear drop, misfits 2.0, Alt. After spending the past two years finding his sound, he’s now embarking on a new chapter that draws inspiration from bands like Deftones, Linkin Park, and Korn, as well as late 90’s and early 00’s inspired grunge aesthetics.
